The Garmin GPS 45XLª

The Garmin GPS 45XL features new software enhancements to Garmin's most popular handheld receiver. Users will appreciate its small, lightweight design, intuitive user interface, and simple thumbkeys that allow true single-handed operation. The detachable antenna can be remote mounted, or you can use an external antenna for maximum flexibility in a variety of land or marine applications. The large backlit display features great graphics, now with slightly larger fonts for easier viewing from a distance. Position page shows present lat/long and altitude, current track, and speed.

(August 21, 1996) -- The former battleship USS Missouri (BB 63) is pictured firing its guns during a past exercise. The retirement of this historic battleship generated competing requests from organizations in Bremerton, Washington and Long Beach and San Francisco, California, before the Navy awarded it to Pearl Harbor. "This was a very tough decision, since all the proposals were so excellent and impressive.
