File
Open (CTRL+O) Opens text files (*.txt), book scripts (*.bok) and web page text (*.htm,*.html). Book scripts are miniature scripted (program) files that download and help read pre-conditioned books from the Internet.
Clipboard (F2) Loads any text content held on the Windows® Clipboard.
Web (CTRL+W) [NEW: download the readweb.bok for easier web page reading] The Web selection opens and reads the text content of the active Netscape® or Microsoft Internet Explorer® Web page. Whenever you change pages, HELP Read, even if it is currently reading the old page, will automatically update itself and begin reading the new page.
Literature Launches your browser with the HELP Read Literature Table Of Contents. Clicking on any of the books listed will download and read the book. Note: this feature obviously requires an active Internet connection. If you have trouble with this feature, you may be using an older Windows® and browser version that requires you to ensure that your “winsock.dll” and related Internet files are in the DOS path.
Reload (F4) Refreshes loading of current text document or Clipboard contents.
Exit Closes Program.

ERROR NOTE:
If you close HELP Read after using the program to read a web page or MS-Word (winword.bok) document, you will get an error message when your browser or MS-Word program is not active upon starting HELP Read the next time.
Don’t panic. HELP Read expects you to want to continue reading the same type of file.
Simply select Clipboard if that was your intended text source, or open your other document and use the Reload (F4) choice on the File menu.
