| Since the "bubble" explosion of 1992, our economy has not been growing. Business is in a weak condition. Because of that, Japanese companies are trying to cut their costs by reducing the number of employees. During the time of the"Bubble" economy, there were many more opportunities for people than people needed. It was a time when people were able to choose their career from a variety of options. But now, people must wait to be chosen by companies with severe feelings. Overall, students are having difficulties in finding their jobs. What are the current and future possibilities for employment in Japan for those students who have gone through their school life? What are the situations now, and what can be done in order to overcome these conditions? Our research will focus on employment problem from some view points. | The first sentence reads better without using "since" and "after"...since both words mean the same things. ** "..a weak condition", you need the indefinite article "a" and "weak" is a better word than "dull". ** "During" is better than "In" **...You need "the" before "Bubble Economy" because "Bubble Economy is a definite thing and "the" is the definite article. ** "many" is an adjective while "much" is an adverb. (e.g. Did you drink much? ..not "Did you drink many?"). ** You do not need "As it were" **....and time is indefinite so use "a". "a variety of options"..This is a difficult idea to understand...but in English the word "variety" or "various" has the meaning of being plural. We do not say "a varieties of..." **..also "when" is better than "that" as "when" shows time **...Have you really "suffered" through your school years? I believe "gone" is a better word. You will have enough time in the future to really "suffer!!" ** "What" is better than "How" **..."can" is present tense and implies future..but "could" is past tense and you are talking about the future **.... "What are the situations...."...therefore when you speak of "conditions", you must use plural...as shown. |
| First, we will compare how the Japanese educational system and other foreign educational systems are preparing students for future job occupations. In other words, we are going to focus on the Japanese educational system to learn whether it is preparing students for job hunting and for their future occupations. We are also going to look at what companies are expecting from students, and discuss what the students can do, during their school-life, in order to succeed after graduation. | ** The first sentence should be restructured so that the main subject "Japanese educational system and other foreign educational systems" is at the front of the sentence. .."You need "the" because, as used in your sentence, "Japanese educational system" is a definite thing **..."learn" is better than "know"...(this is a difficult idea in English...but to "know" something means to really really understand it...during your short study, you are in the process of getting to understand, so "learn" shows an "ongoing process"...but, actually "know" is ok..but not the best choice). .. ** companies are is plural (more than one company, right?) |
| Next, we will discuss the meaning of Japanese companies moving offshore and the importance of English as the International language for people to succeed in their business. Are there any advantages for those students who can speak English ( or other foreign languages) fluently? | ** "Japanese companies" is plural; so you shouldn't use the definite article "the"..in this case "Japanese companies" is part of a prepositional phrase "of Japanese companies"..and refers to "the meaning". |
| Then, we are going to guess what kind of future jobs are going to be offered to students by looking at the high-technology environment. These days, the Internet makes International communications easier and quicker. It is important for people to have the ability to use the Internet, effectively, to get their jobs | ** You do not need "our" in front of "International communications" and "communications" should be plural. ( You "communicate" with your friend [singular]..but the Internet uses different kinds of "communications"..[so must be plural].. ** You should use "the" in front of Internet as it defines a definite thing (a conceptual thing..e.g. the Internet). ** You need a a comma for "effectively". |
| Finally, we will look at how women are treated now. Historically, in Japan, society was dominated by men. During the time of the "Bubble" economy, women were able to find many career opportunities. Currently, society is treating women severely again. | ** "Finally" or "Lastly" is better than "at last" **...you need the preposition "at" before "how women.. ** " ..the word "society" is plural..you do not need "the" **..."During" is a better word to use with time **...You do need "the" before "Bubble Economy (a definite thing..even though conceptual). **..."career opportunities" shortens and clarifies the sentence. ** "Currently" is more businesslike than "But now" **..."is treating" shows a continues action. I think you mean that women's position "is continually being" weakened. Is this correct? |
| We conclude by stating that as students, we will face the "reality" of job-hunting sooner or later so that through this research, we expect to understand the current conditions regarding employment, and to be aware of the future to meet our expectations, and to reach our goals. | ** Your original sentence "We will make a conclusion by stating what we can say in this situation?" doesn't say anything. I know you are going to state a conclusion. Therefore, you should state the conclusion and not tell the reader you are going to "state a conclusion". It is like a basketball player stopping the game and turning to the other players and saying "Now, I am going to shoot!". It isn't necessary. What we want the basketball player to do is "to shoot"...not talk about it. Therefore, your first sentence has been restructured to definitely state a point of view. The first 3 sentences have been combined into one sentence. ** You cannot "realize", but you can "understand" **.."conditions regarding" should be plural and "regarding" is better than "for". |

You said you are going to try and see if the Japanese educational system is preparing students for jobs in the future. Can you find out what kinds of jobs are currently in "high demand" by companies. Also, find out what kinds of jobs are expected to be in "high demand" in the future. Historically, Japanese have seem to have received a "general education" and each company, then, trains the new employee for lifetime employment. Are companies still doing this type of training in the age of "high technology" and "international communications"?
