A Safety Plan is a course of action you can take to protect
yourself from danger in a Domestic Violence situation. 
Please take a few moments to look over the following suggestions.  These suggestions can help you determine your own safety plan.

  • Decide NOW where you will go and how you will get there.

  • Develop a code or word with your children, relatives, friends or neighbors that you can trust that lets them know you need help immediately.

  • Keep the following items at someone's home, hidden outside or near an exit:

*Spare set of house & car keys
*Important documents like military ID, birth &    marriage certificates, Social Security card,  medical & financial records, immigration papers & temporary restraining order
*
Prescriptions & medications
*
Extra money
*
Sentimental belongings

  • If you leave, always try to take your children.  Let your    children's teacher & school officials know your situation

  • Memorize all emergency phone #'s in your area.
