Long time East Oahu establishment. The classic plate lunch- gravy on the rice, please. Their mixed plate contains the 3 basic meat groups: BBQ meat, boneless chicken and mahimahi. Their scratch chili is one of the best. (Eat your heart out Zippy's!) Always consistently good. The first plate lunch stop for those returning to the islands. Note: Amy of Manoa swears by Zippy's chili- I sez, "where's the beef?!"
Note: I have been to Rainbows several times since the initial review in 1996- their BBQ is still pretty good but not as good as before. Still a great place to go.
