A Hole in The Net

Just another very Boring Linux-related Page on the net. Most of the links on this page are to sites that I found helpful during my many installations of various versions of LINUX. I would recommend using it for training purposes. The reason I got into it was the Sys Admins started playing with one of my UNIX logins in a company I worked for back in my Telecom days. Rather than spend years justifying the need to keep a superuser account, I decided to get my first version of the Slackware distribution. It has been my preferred distribution, for it allows for easy kernel builds while testing new drivers.

If you want an easy installation version, you might want to try SuSe. This version is very easy to install and modify parameters. I have used it create several web sites. Although big business seems to be crapping it up, it is still a great OS. If you are not using it now, hopefully, you will find the time to get a Linux distribution.
