JESUS: TO BE REACHED
DECEMBER 6, 1999
MATTHEW 24:3-14

      As we anticipate Christmas it is so easy to get caught up in the spirit of the holidays. As Christians we know that the real reason for the season is Jesus. The Bible reminds us that Jesus commissioned his apostles to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every living creature under heaven. People continue to question why things happen like natural disasters, wars, accidents, shootings and other catastrophes. They begin to ask, when is the end of the world coming? We as Christians know the truth, the end of our world will not come until a great harvest of souls are brought into the Kingdom of God. During this time of turmoil and uncertainty we need to share our F.A.I.T.H. because we are not guaranteed that we will have tomorrow to share our testimonies. We are so blessed that the FAITH teams from our church continue to visit with people sharing the message of Jesus Christ and His free gift of salvation and eternal life. These modern day disciples celebrate with those who have already accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior and share the Gospel message with those who are unsaved. God is so good to include his people, that love Him, with the awesome responsibility of sharing His Word. To God be the glory for the things He has done!

      Dear God,
             Help us to preach the Gospel to Mililani, Oahu, all the outer islands and to the world. So when the end comes it will just be the beginning for all those who have faith, hope and love in your Son Jesus Christ.
 

Matthew 24:3-14  “3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" 4 Jesus answered: "Watch out that no-one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, `I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth-pains. 9 "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”
