DECEMBER 16, 1999 I PETER 2:6-7 As I sat there gazing at the stones and fences everywhere made of both granite and marble, my thoughts ran to the Lord. He needs to be the cornerstone in our marriages, friendships, and our personal walk with Him. How majestic these mountains were! Soon our dinner arrived and much to my
surprise, our main course was served on a stone of very hot marble! There
was my steak, sizzling to perfection, right before my eyes, while underneath
was the "cornerstone" holding it up until I was ready to take a bite. I
stared in wonderment how very much that reminded me of my relationship
with the Lord. He is always there, as my cornerstone, promising never to
leave me. Even while I am venturing this way and that way, He is unmovable,
shiny constant in my life.
