5 Hours a Week Job Description
The following is a description of the average number of hours a week
one will need to invest in order to Treach (Teach & Reach) Teenagers
for Christ. After 17 years of observation these are the hours one
needs to fulfill in order to have a successful Sunday School Bible Study
Ministry.
 |
One hour
of Bible Study - (Sunday School)
| Sunday |
9:15 AM - 10:15 AM |
Be sure to be in your Sunday School room at least
15 minuets before the beginning of class. |
 |
One hour
of Biblical preparation for next weeks lesson.
It is a good idea to be in the habit of studying the lesson early in
the week and if possible before Youth Workers Meeting Sunday Afternoon. |
 |
One hour
of coordination with the other teachers in their department. YOUTH
WORKERS MEETING
We begin with a 20 minuet meeting for FAITH and then divide up in to
age Divisions |
 |
One hour
contacting their students on roll and those who have visited or are prospects
| Any Time Which Fits Into Your
Schedule |
Be sure to call your CLASS LEADERS and CARE GROUP LEADERS to encourage
them to call their Care Groups! |
 |
One hour
of outside normal “Church” stuff with teenagers.
| Any Time Which Fits Into Your
Schedule |
This could include a football game, band concert, visiting them at their
job or even attending another youth group activity such as mid- week Bible
Study or Prayer meeting. |
This is only meant to be a guide. There may be some weeks that
you are unable to do all of the above. However, this should be the
goal of all Sunday School and small group Bible teachers.
