A person has two very powerful tools to share Christ with others...
1) Scripture 2) Their Personal Testimony.

Katie's TestimonyOne Hour That Changed My LifeIt all began when the drama team left the stage, and my youth pastor began his sermon. He was preaching on a passage in Revelations which states, "So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth (Revelations 3:16 NAS)." I realized that I believed in Christ Jesus, but that I was lukewarm in my faith. A swear word would come out of my mouth every once in a while, most of my friends were not Christians, and I was ashamed to tell people about my relationship with Jesus. I had never surrendered my whole life to Him. I knew that I could no longer go on with my life unless Christ was my top priority. I wanted to be glorifying Him in all of my thoughts, words, and actions. My mind was set and I was ready to make my promise to God and myself that I would do my best to follow the Holy Bible daily and the examples Jesus set for us while He was here on earth. I went up to the front of the sanctuary, and kneeled at the alter. I prayed that the Lord would help me keep my promise for all of eternity. Since that night, I have continued to grow in my friendship with Jesus. I love to talk about Him with everyone I come in contact. I am no longer afraid to tell others about His love because I know that He will be by my side in everything that I do. He is with me when I am taking exams, when I am eating lunch, and when I am leading the daily Bible Study on campus. He looks out for me and does not put before me anything which I cannot handle. My best friend is with me wherever I go, and I know that He will be with me for all of eternity. So now let me ask you, have you taken the hour to make JESUS your best friend? I was born into a Christian home. My mom and dad took my brother and I to church every Sunday and even some other days of the week. When I was 4 the Pastor's teenage daughter was my Sunday School teacher. She talked about Jesus dying on the cross for everyone's sins because he loves us so much. That day I went home and asked my mom how I could become a Christian. We went into her bedroom and talked more about it. Then I said a simple prayer telling God how I understood and was grateful for His Son's death and I asked him to come into my heart. When we were done praying my mom smiled and said to go out and tell my dad and brother that I was a Christian. I ran out and yelled "Guess what! I'm a Christian!!" I had never been more stoked then I was that day. Since that time I've struggled a lot thinking I could do things on my own and that I don't need God, but I always end up back in the same place: in God's loving arms. I'm proud to say that I'm a hard-core Christian, loving every bit of it. I am full on stoked on Christ!!! I was raised by my grandparents. My grandmother was a Christian but my gradfather wasn't. All I remember about when I accepted Christ was that I was at some type of revival or something. I was bout 8 years old. I was at the church and at the end of the service when they had an alter call, I went up and accepted Christ in my life. I never had anyone to guide me and help me grow as a young Christian, so my relationship with God wasn't very strong. I got into stealing and swearing and smiking cigarettes. I had a very short fuse when it came to my temper and I had no respect for authority. Part of that was that I was never really disciplined when the pre-teen years came around. But, also that I had no relationship with God. My grandparents had their hands full, a long with my grandmother having a terminall disease called Parkinson's disease. My aunt and uncle and two cousins decided to let me live with them in Hawaii. I plugged into this church and youth group, not by choice at first. But now there are other people who help me grow as a Christian and God has bugun to change my life. Should you want to contact Chris M., you may do so through the Mililani Youth Ministry Office. |

My whole life really my family and I have been involved in a church. When I got to be about 14 years old I began thinking about God and if I wanted to have Him in my life. Sometimes when I was doing something that I knew Jesus didn't like I would kind of shrug it aside. I would feel bad about displeasing God and sometimes I asked God for forgiveness. My older sister kristy started to go to Mililani Baptist church in Hawaii. She invited me to come to the youth service one Sunday so I did. When I went I had discovered that it was absolutely amazing. I love it so much. I then wanted to have Christ in my life but I didn't want to give up my past life either. I thought about it a whole lot. Then one Sunday morning I was in church service and all of a sudden something just totally hit me like a huge thunder-lightening. I totally broke down and I asked God in my heart. After that my whole entire life had changed completely. It was hard for a long time but as I got used to it I loved being a Christian. Asking God in my life was the best thing that has ever happen to me. I love living for Jesus and I would never change a single thing in my life.
