Honolulu Friends Meeting has an active First Day School which also serves as a Sunday childcare service. Children of all ages can participate, be they toddlers and or are in their early childhood to adolescent teens.

Activities and lessons are diverse, fun, and instructive as they range from projects that make and create, sometimes practical things, to classes that teach and instill values of peace, equality, integrity, truth, and simplicity. There is a teacher available every Sunday, often with extra adult Friends contributing.

Friends have been known as Children of the Light and welcome all young people; whether they have been raised as Quakers or not, children of all faiths, values, and backgrounds.

Each month we have a theme that go with lessons each week:
February's theme: Whales
March's theme: Civics
April's theme: Christianity
