Spanish Class activities.
This year we participated in the Journey North Project. We sent paper butterflies to Mexico to symbolize the migration south of the monarch butterflies. This spring we received butterflies form Mexico and other parts of the United States. Here is a picture of a class in Indiana , Pa. that sent us a butterfly.

Danielle Reed's butterfly has a most interesting story. Her butterfly flew from Indiana, PA to Mexico City, and then on to Hawaii where it was received by Ms. Sharon Dumas, a Spanish teacher at Lutheran High School. In corresponding with Ms. Dumas, we discovered that her sister and brother-in-law, Marcia and Tom Rogish, are residents of Indiana, PA! Ms. Dumas is planning a trip to Indiana in July and will bring Danielle's butterfly with her.
