By doing current event, you will not only continue to practice your reading and writing skills but as you become aware of what is happening in the other parts of the world, you will use your higher level thinking skills to compare/contrast events as well as comment on cause and effect relationships.
Locate two interesting articles of at least 250 words each from an on line Spanish newspaper.
Interview a Spanish speaker about the topic.
Send the taped interview to the instructor
Write a summary of the article and your reaction
Revise as necessary and include a copy in the portfolio
Be prepared to talk about your topic on the weekly chat
