Final performance Based Task
Students will begin a History Day project or Think Quest Project which will be completed during the next school year. Students will study the relationship between scientific inventions and history, and produce a resource page on the web for other students who are participating in these competitions.
The web page will include the following.
A study of a particular scientific discovery or invention showing the following:
The history of and the evolvement of the technology
How it has affected themselves and society
Suggestions they have for improving the technology
· An analysis of their project experiences and an explanation of how their lives and ideas have changed as a result of their participation in the project.
· An explanation of the steps they have taken, things they would do differently in the future and why and an action plan with a timetable to finish the project and prepare for an upcoming competition.
· A proposed invention and predictions of how it would change the world. (If time permits)
