NO MATTER
Have you ever wished upon a star? Or wondered how many there are? Or how far they are From where we are? Or if they really are Far From where we are. Have you ever really wished upon a star? I never did. I wonder what would happen . . . No matter. I'll find out when I am young again.
R. E. 'Keefe
Beyond the Event Horizon,
I wonder what I will find --
God with an outstretched hand,
or a no-Man's land?
Will I be able to think,
or will I be gone in a blink?
Will I be stretched to a mile,
or will I linger awhile?
Will I be everywhere forever,
or nowhere, and never?
Do the answers lie in that dark matter?
Was Einstein mad as a hatter?
Why, we can't even imagine before Planck time,
there's no reason, no rhyme.
Is it best not to go?
Perhaps it's better not to know...
Is the universe cursed?
It could be worse.
